A multi-line laser usually refers to a laser module capable of emitting multiple lines simultaneously. Through appropriate optical path design and control, this laser achieves multiple parallel line laser spot output through DOE gratings. It is usually used in specific application scenarios, such as structured light systems, handheld 3D scanners, 3D reconstruction and other fields.
1. Working principle:
Multi-line lasers use laser diodes as the main light source. By absorbing electrical energy, the semiconductor working material achieves energy level transitions. Inside the optical resonant cavity, the laser continuously oscillates and amplifies, and the laser is generated and emitted. The laser diode emits a laser beam through the DOE grating. Regular scribing on the DOE grating will change the propagation direction of the laser and obtain the pattern we need.
2. Pattern types of multi-line lasers:

The laser lines of a single multi-line laser are parallel to each other. Usually the beam size can be adjusted manually, the laser power is 200mW, the laser wavelength is 650nm, 850nm, the uniformity of the laser line is greater than 80%, and there are no dark areas at both ends.
Two-in-one multi-line laser
The multi-line beam pattern is formed by two multi-line lasers crossing and overlapping at 45°. The commonly used laser wavelength is 450nm. The effect of the multi-line laser spot is as shown below.
Three-in-one multi-line laser
The multi-line beam pattern is composed of three multi-line lasers that overlap each other. The laser wavelength is 450nm, 200mm~400mm optional, and the focal length error is ±1mm.
